This past Saturday, we participated in the 5th Annual Northwest Book Festival in Pioneer Square, downtown Portland. We had a great day, despite the deluge that hit us an hour into the event and continued on and off all day. During the dry moments, we saw good attendance but the rain definitely kept people away.

We sold some books, not as many as we’d like but hey, every book sold counts. We also gave out a lot of bookmarks and lollipops, and talked to a good number of fellow Northwest authors and book publishers. This morning, we’ve seen a small jump in e-book sales and KU/KOLL pages read, as well as one message from an author interested in cross-promotion on the blog. Later this week, we’ll be in contact with a few others that we thought might be just right for guest author interviews. We will definitely be participating in the NW Book Festival next year.

This week, we’ll be following up on our leads from Saturday, adding new material to our current works-in-progress, and generally trying to kick our butts back into gear.
