It’s time to wrap up our 2017, duct tape it, and bury it deep where no one can find it. First of all, we apologize for the long delay since our last blog post. We will try and get back onto our weekly blog schedule in the new year as well as tending to our other social media platforms.
We started our writing journey in December of 2013, almost exactly four years and six published books ago. The self-publishing landscape has changed dramatically since then, both for us and for our fellow authors across the world. The Kindle Direct Publishing platform we use today looks nothing like the original and the current algorithm for advertising and payments seems to no longer work in our favor. It is time to explore different options to get our work out there. Query letters, here we come.
Looking ahead, we are still working on polishing up the manuscript for The Ocular, our paranormal thriller. Rewrites have been slow but steady over the last two months. We also have two works in progress that need to feel some love in the new year. Enoch, our crime thriller, was off to a good start but fell off the radar after our mother’s health scare at the end of the summer. We have also started the third book in in our science fiction New Mother Earth series, Servants of Gaia.
Up next, free e-book promotions for Exiles of Gaia, Hunters of Gaia, and Creek House on Amazon, running December 31st through January 2nd, 2018.
We hope to start up our author interviews on the blog as well, as that was a popular feature and a fun experience for all involved.
We thank you all for sticking with us and we wish you all a wonderful New Year!
Kind regards,
Anne, Nancy, and Eric
