Blog-gone Procrastination

Blog Pic 18 DEC

May Day has come and gone without an update, and for that, we apologize. We’ll try to do better in the future. We’re sure you’re wondering what we’ve been up to.

  1. We did battle against the IRS and came out victorious.
  2. We half way through our last round of edits for Hunters of Gaia and still on track to finish before June.
  3. The Ocular is undergoing a tune-up, starting from chapter one.
  4. We’re working on an alternate cover for Hunters of Gaia.

This year, we did our taxes on time as usual for a Partnership/LLC. What we didn’t know was that the IRS has changed to due date for Partnership taxes from the traditional April 15th to March 15th. There was no fanfare, just a notice that we owed $585 in fees for filing late. We did our due diligence and had the fees waived for this year, with the understanding that the only reason that was granted was our previous good standing with Uncle Sam. Whew, that would have been a chunk of change.

As for Hunters of Gaia, we are finished with the final edit of 35 out of 70 chapters. Once Anne finishes her hack, it’s off to the beta readers.

Eric is busy fiddling with the beginning of the Ocular, our latest horror novel, while Nancy is fiddling with the ending. Hopefully, they meet in the middle.

And finally, we are in the process of mocking up a new cover for Hunters of Gaia, one more in tune with the first book in the series. We haven’t completely scrapped the first one but we’re considering our options.

Our friend Deborah Wolf has had a fantastic book launch for her fantasy novel, The Dragon’s Legacy, published by Titan Books. If you are looking for a new read, we highly recommend checking out Deb’s book.

You can find it on Amazon at:

We hope you are enjoying the May sunshine. We’ve finally got some here in the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks for your patience,

Anne, Nancy, and Eric
