It’s always satisfying to get that first round of edits out of the way. We just finished with the initial scrub of Hunters of Gaia, the second book in our New Mother Earth trilogy. It was a heady feeling for about a day. Unfortunately, it’s just the first round and we’ve still got a lot of work ahead of us before we’ll be ready to go live.

The next step in our collaborative writing process for Hunters is a round of read-throughs. We each get a crack at the manuscript before we turn it over to our beta reader for the old red pen hack and slash. Add in formatting, a synopsis and a cover blurb, a bit more work on the cover, and boom! A book is born! We just wish it were as easy as it sounds.

At this point in time, we’re hesitant to give a date for publishing as we keep managing to blow through all of our self-imposed deadlines. Just, rest assured, we are keeping up a good pace and work continues. We are also working on our horror novel, The Ocular, as well as the third book in our New Mother Earth series, Servants of Gaia.
