This week sees a return to our usual routine. We like to take a bit of time to tend to the business of writing (marketing, formatting, editing, and more) and then move on to plot and character development and adding new material to our works-in-progress. We met for an extremely productive plotting session on Thursday that should get us to the end of both our current manuscripts.

As for marketing, we’re hoping that a new strategy will kick start our sales on Smashwords. We’ve finished the formatting and upload of our short story, The Mortuary Fly, to Smashwords and we will be offering it for free for the next few months. We’re also planning another Goodreads giveaway, this time for The Safe Harbor.

Nancy and Eric are working on a rewrite of the Ocular. Our plotting session uncovered a new twist that needs to be woven through earlier chapters before it can come to a resolution toward the end. (Mysterious, eh?) Anne is updating the chapter map for Hunters of Gaia and then getting to work on the new chapters. We estimate another fifteen chapters until we’re done with the second book.

The spring sunshine and renewed sense of purpose has gotten us motivated to write, write, write! We hope you can feel it too, no matter your passion.
