So how have we really been doing? From what we’ve seen, there is a lot of mystery surrounding self-publishing. Most authors when asked how they are doing will give a noncommittal, “Good, I’m doing good.” The problem with that answer is that his or her idea of good might not be our idea of good. That being said, we’re doing good. But, we thought we’d throw out some actual numbers, just so you can see what we’re talking about.
As you should know, if you read our bio, we have four novels and two short stories available for purchase or borrow with Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. We began publishing on December 17th, 2013.
As of September 30th, 2014:
-We have sold 1,372 e-copies of our novels and short stories.
-We have 75 paid borrows.
-We have sold 50 print copies.
-During our free promotions, we gave away 3,045 e-copies.
Out of those 4,542 books and short stories out in the world, we have:
-49 reviews on Amazon and Amazon UK.
-And 7 reviews and 23 ratings on Goodreads.
So there it is, the down and dirty real numbers. We hope to continue to put our work out in the world. As a matter of fact, we only have fifty pages of Holly Virginia left to edit before the beta read and formatting. It is very likely to be our last book out in 2014.
As always, we appreciate your support. We’re doing good.
