We are so excited to announce that our third Renna Olsen novel, Cold Prairie, is now available on Amazon. This novel, our fourth in total, was our quickest turn-around yet. From start to finish, we got it done in five months, a new record! I think we are justifiably proud of ourselves. That includes the actual writing, rewriting, editing, cover design and a final beta read to clean up our boo boos.

It started in November with National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). When we seem to have reached a writing slump, we often challenge one another with a writing challenge and last year, it was NaNoWriMo. Write a 50,000 word novel during the month of November. We all started out with high hopes and while only one novel came out of it, we all got a lot of writing done on our other works in progress. At the end of the month, while we had a 50,000 word manuscript, we did not have a novel. That came later during several brainstorming, plot planning sessions and a whole lot of writing. With another 35,000 words added over the next several months, we finally had something worth publishing.

Cold Prairie is a prequel to The Safe Harbor. While not set in our fictional Oregon town of Riverside, it contains the seeds of what will become the main premise of The Safe Harbor. We hope you like it.
