I don’t think anyone gets into writing for the money. Oh, the money is nice if it comes, but for the average writer such as ourselves, that is still a distant hope. Instead, we are using our writing as a creative outlet, a focusing goal and a way to connect with each other. Evidence of this comes in our excitement over the promotional free downloads of Creek House this past week. Over 400!
We’ve been closely following the results of this week’s promotion and we couldn’t be happier. And, to make it even better, one of those readers gave us a five star review on Amazon.
It is hard to put yourself out there and open yourself to criticism. We know that there are going to be readers who hate our books and we’ve mentally prepared ourselves for that. But until that time comes, we will bask in the praise. (And tell ourselves, haters gonna hate.)
For now, this promotion is over and we’re gearing up for another one in a few weeks. We are working on the rewrite of our next Renna Olsen offering, Cold Prairie, and we hope to have that ready to publish by the end of February.
We hope you’ll keep following us on our publishing adventure. Thanks for the support,
Anne, Nancy and Eric
